Christmas-y things

We had so much fun this December doing Christmasy activities! I can't wait for Lucy to get older and for us to start traditions of our own, but for now we are still joining in with extended family for all the activities.

First was The Chocolate Dipping Extravaganza! This is a tradition on Brent's Mom's side of the family and honestly, it's amazing. This is only the 2nd year that we have gone to it (which I am still clueless as to why we missed it the previous years) but it's where we get together with Brent's extended family and dip things in tons of milk and dark chocolate. This year I made sure to bring pretzels and gummy bears because those are my favorites but they also do caramels, peppermint, coconut, orange, toffee, etc.. I didn't get a picture of all the chocolate dipped goodies at the end since we had to leave early but here are some pics from the party.

Decorating sugar cookies!
Brent's sister was nice enough to invite us over to decorate with her family. And we all decorated a ton of cookies.

They were so yummy! This wasn't even half of them.
Christmas Eve!
This year we were spending Christmas with my side. My brother-in-law started our Christmas Eve tradition of having yummy Mexican food as our meal. So they got Costa Vida catered and he made his a-maz-ing queso and we just hung out and ate before "acting out" the nativity (which was slightly a hot mess with so many young kids).

Christmas Day!
It's a busy day for us since we spend time with each of our families, but it is always filled with so much joy and love!
