Wow has it seriously been one month? I feel like it was just the other day we were in the hospital welcoming this little girl into the world. I know every one says time flies by once you have a baby and they ain't lying. The past month has been full of learning and adjusting for both Brent and I as parents as well as our little Lucy. I won't lie, that first week was tough. We were all running on tiny spurts of sleep, emphasis on tiny. But it hasn't taken too long for us all to get into a routine and she now gives me about 4-6 hour stretches of sleep. Moving her into her own room rather than having her in our room was the best decision. Lucy makes so many little noises when she is sleeping that would constantly wake us up. There is a much happier papa, mama, and baby around here when we all get sleep.

Loves|
- Being tightly swaddled. This was a long battle, but she has finally learned to love the swaddle and it has helped her to sleep better in her crib.
- Bath time. Oh how this girl hated those sponge baths when we were waiting for her little cord to fall off. Now that she can just sit in the warm water she is in heaven. When she is throwing her nightly fit she gets plopped in the tub and our happy baby comes back to us.
- Music time. Every day when I get her dressed, I crank up her iPod which is loaded with Disney songs and various musical soundtracks. That's what started her cute little smirks to come out.
- Tummy time. Surprisingly she loves to be on her belly and pops her little head up. She has such a strong neck already.
- Mamaroo. We call it her spaceship. She loves her alone time in there.
- White noise. "Shushing" her and the airplane cabin noise calm her right down.
- Gas drops. Poor girl has the worst gas pains. She sucks her drops down like they are candy.
- Stretching out on her changing pad. Usually she gets some good toots and poops out when she gets to hang out on there for awhile.
- Staring at her mama and papa's faces. We love how she studies are faces with her big eyes and turns her head to follow our voices.

Hates|
- Pacifier. This is a love/hate relationship but mostly hate. We've tried every pacifier out there. The one she will tolerate more often than the others is the natursutten brand. I wish she would grow to love it, it is so nice when she actually takes it.
- Waiting to eat. This girl loves to eat and can hardly wait the minimum 2 hours to get more food.
- Not moving. To soothe her we are constantly swinging, bouncing, rocking, swaying, etc.. And if she doesn't like the position she is in, she isn't shy about using her lungs to let you know.
- The hours of 7pm-midnight. Thankfully this is Brent's shift.
