Here's some 5 month fun facts about our sweet Lucy Mae:
- Rolling all over the place and at super speed.
- Loves to play with Izzy. She laughs/squeals at her when she walks by, sticks her hand out and pets/hits her and pinches her face and fur. Izzy is a good sport about it.
- Loves to play with her toys. She already gets bored of some of them so I have to make sure to rotate them so that she gets excited when she sees a "new toy".
- Drools. So. Much. Thank goodness for the bandana bibs, though she will soak one in about an hour.
- Stomach sleeper. And an amazing sleeper (9 pm-8ish am!!) And she loves to scoot up in her crib and then screams when she is stuck, so we have to move her to the bottom at least twice before we go to bed.
- Will. Not. Cuddle. This isn't really new. She has never been a cuddler, even when she was a newborn, but she used to at least fall asleep on me at church when she was tired. Nope, no longer. She pushes away from us with all her strength. I'm glad she is independent and always puts herself to sleep, but church is not too fun with her anymore since she won't fall asleep on me.
- Still sucks her thumb, but only when she is tired or hungry. So hopefully she will break that habit on her own before she is too old. (One can hope right?)
- Loves to play with her tongue and bottom lip.
- Hates being confined. Cries after being in her carseat more than 5 min. Hates being in her bumbo seat for more than 5 min. Not a fan of the baby bjorn. She is an independent and free roaming lady.
- Loves touching faces, especially pinching and scratching them.
- Gets so distracted while nursing now. But has to be holding my thumb with her free hand.
- Tries to hold her bottle by herself when daddy feeds her.
- Reaches and tries to grab everything.
- Tries to roll over during diaper changes...so fun
But no matter what, she makes our days so much brighter with her little giggles and smiles.
